Deeptech Delegation Japan to the Netherlands

18-22 March 2024

A Japanese Delegation (20-25p) is invited to the Netherlands as part of preparations to set up a multi-annual public-private partnership (PPP) to further develop relations with Japan in the Deeptech fields of semiconductors, quantum technology and photonics, in terms of policy, business, research and education. The program will include visits, seminars with two-directional introductions, network events and more, in areas like equipment and devices, IC design, photon-electron conversion, quantum technology, flexible technology, human capital and others.

  • Introduction of the strength of the Netherlands in the fields of Deeptech, in terms of policy, business and innovation.
  • Introduction of the strength of Japan in the fields of Deeptech, in terms of policy, business and innovation.
  • Deepen relations and identify potential for cooperation.

Guidance

  • During the program, the Delegation will be guided by Eric van Kooij and Rob Stroeks, Minister Counsellor resp. Senior Advisor for Innovation, Science and Technology at the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Tokyo.

Logistics

  • Travel in the Netherlands
    Local travel is arranged per chartered bus. We recommend to join the whole program, but in case you do not join parts of the program, we kindly ask you to make travel arrangements yourself to leave or (re-)join the program.
  • Hotels
    Please book your own hotel in the Netherlands. We highly recommend you to book the hotels indicated in the program below. The daily program starts and ends at the hotel indicated in below program. In case you book other hotels, please arrange to come to the indicated hotel at the indicated time.
